An apparatus has a label application module 14, such as featuring a label application press 35, and a label printing module 12. The application module 14 is detachably mounted to a first side wall 40 of the printing module 12, and is also attachable to a second adjacent wall 41 of the printing module 12, which is at a right angle to the first wall. This can be seen in the repositioning of the application module 14, in the transition from fig.1a to fig.1b. In this way the apparatus can provide it's label application function when labelling items travelling both left to right, and right to left in front of the device. |
