A data transmitting method, and a communication system and a recording medium applying the same are provided to improve the success rate of decoding by allowing an RPS(Random Parity System) to actively cope with a line state. In a data communication system for transmitting data through a transmission path between a transmitting side device(1) and a receiving side device(2), the transmitting side device(1) includes a coding device(10), a transmitting device(11), and a coding rate determining device(12). The coding device(10) generates redundantly-coded data from the original data. The transmitting device(11) transmits the coded data to a transmission path. The coding rate determining device(12) sets and controls a coding rate in a coding unit. The receiving side device(2) includes a receiving device(20), a decoding device(21), and a loss rate estimating device(22). The receiving device(20) receives the coded data transmitted through the transmission path. The decoding device(21) decodes the received coded data to obtain the original data. The loss rate estimating device(22) estimates a loss rate of the coded data. The coding rate determining device(12) of the transmitting side device(1) changes and controls the coding rate of the coding device(10) based on the loss rate.
