A mobile terminal having a personal information discrimination function using an installed light source is provided to identify each user by mounting a laser pointer at an antenna of a mobile terminal and forming a pattern to form a two-dimensional code at the laser pointer. A flash unit(127) includes a flash case with a certain pattern so that when light is allowed to pass through the case, the light is formed according to the pattern. A recognizing unit, which includes an optical sensor unit(124) and a pattern recognizing unit(121), recognizes light and reads personal information. A controller(103) controls such that each person is identified by the personal information read by the recognizing unit.
