A structure for preventing a siphon operation of a washing machine is provided to improve the reliability of products by removing a conventional siphon break hose to prevent a drained condensate from being flown to a drum through the siphon break hose. A structure for preventing a siphon operation of a washing machine includes a cabinet, a tub(10), a drum(11), a motor, a door, and a siphon preventing unit. The cabinet forms external appearance. The tub is installed inside of the cabinet. The drum is installed inside of the tub and the laundry is inputted to the drum for a washing operation of the laundry. The motor rotates the drum reversely and directly by applying the power. The door is connected to the cabinet to open and close the front of the drum. The siphon preventing unit is a siphon preventing valve(300) capable of selectively open and close a chimney port(200) due to washing water pressure flown to a drain hose(102). |
