A substrate for an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) panel, and an LCD including the same are provided to change light transmittance of each pixel according to intensity of external light by providing a transflective film having light transmittance changed according to voltage intensity to control the light transmittance for each pixel. A plurality gate line groups are formed on one surface of a substrate in one direction. A plurality of data lines(DL(n-1),DL(n)) are insulated from the plurality of gate lines and intersect the plurality of gate lines. A plurality of pixel groups are formed at intersections of the plurality of gate line groups and the plurality of data lines. A transflective film is disposed at the other surface of the substrate, and has light transmittance changing according to intensity of an applied voltage.
