A method for informing about a received voice of the other party during call communication in a mobile terminal is provided to allow a user to immediately answer the other party of call communication so that the other party cannot feel bored. When a supplementary function for using a display unit is selected by a user in a call mode(200,202), the controller executes a voice detection mode in which a voice signal of the other party is inputted to the controller through a wireless unit(204). When a voice signal of the other party is inputted, the controller analyzes the voice signal to detect the size of the voice and compares it with a reference voice size previously stored in a memory unit(206). When the supplementary function using the display unit is terminated, the controller terminates the supplementary function and releases the voice detection mode(210). The controller terminates the call mode according to a user request and outputs a menu corresponding to a user input on the display unit(212).
