QUERY AUTO-COMPLETE SERVICE METHOD AND SERVER FOR EXECUTING THE METHOD

A method for providing a service for automatically completing a query and a server thereof are provided to construct a new business model by providing a web server with the service for automatically providing the query according to a query input situation of a user and enabling a service server to extract/transmit the recommended query for the query received from the user to the web server. A log database(201) stores a query log and a log indexer(202) indexes the stored log according to a phoneme or syllable unit, or a suffix. A query index database(203) stores the indexed query log by each phoneme or syllable unit index, or suffix index. A server interface(206) receives user input from the web server and transmits the automatically completed query related to the user input to the web server. An automatically completed query extractor(205) extracts the query related to the user input from the query index database. A charger(207) requests a charge for the provided automatic query completing service to a manager of the web server by receiving a service request from the web server.
