RIGID RANDOM COILS AND COMPOSITIONS COMPRISING THE SAME

A rigid random coil is provided to obtain a coil that has properties as an intermediate between a polymer and a rigid rod-like particle and is useful as a filler for various resins, aqueous solution or organic solution. A rigid random coil shows an average bending ratio(Db) of 0.1-0.8 as defined by the formula of Db=/L^2 (wherein R represents a distance vector between the both ends, and L represents an extended length), and has a weight average molecular weight of 1X10^8-9X10^8 g/mole. The rigid random coil preferably has an extended length corresponding to at least ten times of its diameter. The rigid random coil is formed of carbon or carbon nano-tubes.
