FIELD: anode for gas separation during electrochemical process having substrate of titanium or other valve metal. ^ SUBSTANCE: anode having substrate of titanium or other valve metal is characterized by surface with low mean roughness consisting 2 - 6 micrometers according to readings of profile meter with averaged width of band around mean line Pc ± 8.8 micrometers whose pick values coincide with boundaries of crystal grains. Method for producing anode substrate is also offered.
