An apparatus and a method for manufacturing a display device are provided to reduce manufacturing time and cost without an additional process for removing ink deposited on a non-display region by not depositing the ink on the non-display region through a protection cover. An apparatus for manufacturing a display device includes a nozzle coater and a protection cover(300). The display device includes a substrate(10). The substrate(10) includes a display region and a non-display region. The display region has a plurality of sub pixels having pixel electrode exposed regions(45) which are formed in a matrix shape by crossing gate lines(21) and data lines(26). The non-display region is formed at a peripheral part of the display region. The nozzle coater continuously drops ink on the pixel electrode exposed regions(45) adjacent to each other. The protection cover(300) covers at least a part of the non-display region not to be stained with the ink.
