A side key assembly for an electronic apparatus and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to prevent contamination of environment by forming the side key assembly using an environment-friendly polycarbonate resin or an acryl resin. A metal dome(50) is formed on a PCB(Printed Circuit Board) of an electronic apparatus. A rubber contact(44) is contacted with the metal dome and delivers signals. A plastic injected material(46) is protruded from one side of a cover. The rubber contact is contained on the rear surface of the plastic injected material. The rubber contact and the plastic injected material are included in a side key assembly(42). The rubber contact is made of a silicon rubber. A symbol, a character, or a combination thereof is printed on the rear surface of the plastic injected material. A metal is coated on the rear surface of the plastic injected material.
