A spacer bar is provided to keep main reinforcing bars at regular intervals and to function as a distribution bar. The spacer bar(SR) has semicircular grooves(H) having the appointed depth and the appointed central interval on the outer circumferential surface of a reinforcing bar(R), hereon the central interval from one side to the other side of the semicircular groove is 25mm and the depth of the semicircular groove is one third of the diameter of the spacer bar. The arrangement method of reinforcing bars of a reinforced concrete structure using a spacer bar comprises the steps of arranging main bars on a large-sized structure according to the condition of load added on a reinforced concrete structure and arranging spacer bars having semicircular grooves for keeping the interval of the main reinforcing bars and functioning as a distribution bar.
