A method for maintaining the perpendicularity of a leader using a tension control device of a rope is provided to maintain the stability of drilling equipment and the perpendicularity of a leader. The method for maintaining the perpendicularity of a leader using a tension control device of a rope comprises the steps of: setting up the initial condition of a wire rope(R) while a leader(D) stands perpendicularly; controlling a set of four wire ropes to maintain the leader perpendicularly and memorizing the tension at that moment in a controller; and if the perpendicularity of the leader during the work, pulling the wire rope using a winch until the tension of the wire rope reaches the initial value and restoring the leader to the original state.
