A liquid crystal display having a polymeric resin layer made of polyethylene or polypropylene is provided to exhibit variable transmission and reflection rates, to control light intensity emitted in both directions and to prevent deterioration of image quality by forming the porous polymeric resin layer by a dry or wet spinning process using polyethylene or polypropylene. A liquid crystal display includes a half-permeable and half-reflective sheet(100) comprising a porous polymer resin layer(10) based on polyolefins. The porous polymer resin layer includes polyethylene or polypropylene and is fabricated by a dry or wet drawing process. The porous polymer resin layer further includes a foamed white polyethylene terephthalate(PET) layer and/or a foamed white polycarbonate(PC) layer. The polymer resin layer further includes a closely adhesion resistant layer(20) formed on one side thereof, which comprises a number of beads and a coating film to fix the beads on the adhesion resistant layer.
