A method for controlling dehydration of a washing machine is provided to smoothly perform dehydration by rotating a drum in a speed for a corresponding eccentricity. A method for controlling dehydration of a washing machine includes the steps of: setting an eccentricity range as a first allowable eccentricity range among a plurality of allowable eccentricity ranges during dehydration(S10); performing clothing spread process(S20); measuring an eccentricity(S30); determining whether the eccentricity is within the first allowable eccentricity range or not, if affirmative, adjusting a drum rotation speed as a corresponding drum speed, 1200rpm(S40,S110); increasing a count one more if the eccentricity is out of the first allowable eccentricity range(S50); increasing the eccentricity range if the count is 6(S100); repeating above processes until setting a forth allowable eccentricity range; and displaying an error when the measured eccentricity is within the forth allowable eccentricity range until the count is 15(S120). |
