An apparatus for setting multiple paths and a method thereof are provided to eliminate interference among plural paths by considering a previous hop address in an ad-hoc network, to prevent reactive path setup when setting the multiple paths, and to efficiently transmit data on the basis of a priority. A method for setting multiple paths comprises the following two steps. According as a main path is set, a wireless node receives a path response packet, including information on a previous hop address, from prior nodes on the main path via a packet receiver where the path response packet can be received via a unicast scheme if the prior node on the main path is a destination node and can be received via a broadcast scheme if the prior node on the main path is not a destination node(S110). A controller of the wireless node determines whether an insulation region of the wireless node itself is included on the basis of the information on the previous hop address within the path response packet received via the packet receiver(S120).
