A compression elastic coupling device has : a drive flange (2) fixedly mounted on an end of a drive shaft, the drive flange being provided on its surface facing a driven shaft with drive protrusions (8) arranged at equal angular intervals; a driven flange fixedly mounted on an end of a driven shaft, the driven flange (5) being provided on its surface facing the drive shaft with driven protrusions (9) arranged at equal angular intervals so as to be interposed between adjacent drive protrusions of the drive flange; and power transmitting elastic members (10) radially inserted in spaces each formed between adjacent drive and driven protrusions from a side of outer circumferences of the drive and driven flanges toward a central axis of the drive and driven shaft.
