A method and a device for demodulation and a computer program are provided to reduce time for which an image is not displayed during channel selection. A demodulation device includes temporal deinterleaving processing units(81-84) for carrying out deinterleaving processing for supplied data per parameter required in deinterleaving processing in temporal direction. An obtaining unit such as a TMCC(Transmission & Multiplexing Configuration Control) detecting part(65) obtains the parameters for the data processing. A selecting unit(85) selects the data, which is deinterleaving-processed, from the deinterleaving processing units according to the parameter obtained by the obtaining unit.
