LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY AND FABRICATING METHOD THEREOF

An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) and a method of manufacturing the same are provided to enlarge a viewing angle and improve the response rate of an LCD by forming a slope member such that liquid crystal molecules are aligned in various directions and have a pre-tilted angle. A common electrode(270) is formed on a substrate. A pixel electrode(191) faces the common electrode. A liquid crystal layer(3) is disposed between the common electrode and the pixel electrode. A slope member(92a) is formed on the substrate and includes a ridge and a slant. The liquid crystal layer includes liquid crystals(31) and polymers(32) having a mesh shape. The liquid crystal molecules are divided by the mesh shape. The liquid crystals are inclined in opposite directions at both slants around the ridge.
