<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell equipped with a gasket having high joint strength and high durability containing no residual air on the joining surface, and to provide a method of manufacturing the same. <P>SOLUTION: In the fuel cell 1 in which an electrolyte membrane 3 made of a solid polymer, and a gasket 7 constituted by sticking a plurality of raw materials with an adhesive arranged in the peripheral region of an electrolyte membrane stack 6 formed by joining a fuel electrode and an oxidant electrode having an electrode catalyst layer 4 on both surfaces coming in contact with a reaction region of the electrolyte membrane are stacked through a separator 2, the gasket 7 has an air vent passage (a lubricant 7D) opened on at least one adhesion surface stuck with the adhesive, and before adhesion bonding with the adhesive 7C, air present between adhesive surfaces stuck with the adhesive 7C is exhausted to the outside through the air bent passage (the lubricant 7D). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
