PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing stereoselectively a propanol derivative having a 2-acylamino group from an aminopropanol derivative whose amino group is protected, through several processes. SOLUTION: This method for producing the 2-acylaminopropanol compound comprises mesylating a 2-aminopropanediol compound whose amino group is protected, reacting the product with an amine compound, releasing the amino-protecting group from the obtained 2-aminopropanol compound, and then reacting the product with an acylating agent or a carboxylic acid-amine condensing agent.
