PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a sealed battery capable of directly displaying and distinguishing strength of high-energy beams used for welding. SOLUTION: In the manufacturing method of the sealed battery, at welding and sealing the surroundings of a member blocking an opening of the sealed battery with high-energy beams, irradiation traces 33 including a plurality of pieces of welding beads 36 formed at substantially the same pitches as welding bead diameters obtained when welding conditions of the high-energy beams are appropriate are formed at positions different from welding parts for sealing by the high-energy beams. By distinguishing whether outer peripheries of the plurality of welding beads 36 are away from, in contact with, or overlapped with each other, it can be easily judged whether the high-energy beams are weak, of optimum strength, or too strong.
