PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rainwater utilization system for storing comparatively clean rainwater hardly containing impurities such as sand and dust, as fresh water and recycling it. SOLUTION: The rainwater utilization system A for utilizing rainwater as fresh water comprises a fresh water inflow port 1 provided by projecting the upper end of a fresh water inflow pipe 3 from a bottom part 91 of an eaves gutter 9, and a down pipe opening 2 bored in the bottom part 91 of the eaves gutter 9. Initial rainwater X of rainfall containing impurities flows into the down pipe opening 2, and fresh water Y going over a rising part 11 of the fresh water inflow port 1 when the intensity of rainfall is increased flows into the fresh water lead-in pipe 3 and is stored in a storage tank 5 and recycled.
