PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of preventing corrosion in a manhole, which prevents water from flowing into the manhole and also suppresses metallic corrosion even if water flows into the manhole. SOLUTION: The method is composed of a step of cutting off water at a conduit port inside the manhole with a water cutoff member, and a step of isolating at least one of a contact portion between members formed of metals different from each other, and a gap between members formed of one of the metals, having a smaller ionization tendency, in the manhole, if the members formed of two or more metals different from each other are arranged in the manhole. The method is further composed of a step of arranging a pseudo electrode 26 in a member formed of a material having a larger ionization tendency, which pseudo electrode 26 is formed of a material having a larger ionization tendency than that of the member formed of the material having the larger ionization tendency, if the members formed of the two or more metals different from each other are arranged in the manhole.
