PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hot dip galvanized strip manufacturing device capable of inexpensively suppressing a descending flow attributable to an accompanying flow generated as conveying a steel strip, and suitable for manufacturing the hot dip galvanized steel strip of high quality without any defect caused by deposition of dross. SOLUTION: The hot dip plated metal strip manufacturing device is provided with: a plating tank for holding a molten metal bath; and a sink roll for changing the traveling direction of a metal strip to be immersed in and passed through the molten metal bath upwardly. In the device, a member having a through hole substantially in the vertical direction is arranged in the molten metal bath between an upward metal strip pass line after passing the sink roll and an inner wall surface of the plating tank facing the metal strip pass line.
