The invention relates to a connecting device for fastening together at least one pair of modular prefabricated building panels (2) arranged parallelly facing each other, and each provided, along an edge extending parallelly in a predetermined direction (A) , with first engaging means (4) . The device comprises at least one pair of anchoring portions extending parallelly in said direction (A) and provided with second engaging means which may be coupled to the first engaging means (4) of the respective panels (2) , and at least one connecting portion (8) connecting the anchoring portions transversally in the direction (A) to prevent the divergence of the panels (2) . The connecting device comprises releasable connecting means between said connecting portion (8) and said anchoring portions.
