A method and an apparatus for providing EPG(Electronic Program Guide) application service according to client location based on cell information are provided to transmit EPG information to a DMB(Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) terminal at the request of the DMB terminal without affecting DMB quality. A DMB terminal acquires base station information and reflects the base station information in EPG request contents when a user wants EPG information(S101). The DMB terminal sends the EPG request to an EPG server by using the EPG request contents(S102). The DMB confirms whether the EPG information is transmitted from the EPG server(S103). When the EPG information is transmitted from the EPG server, the DMB terminal displays a broadcasting program corresponding to the EPG information to the user(S104).
