<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to intuitively and easily perform a channel selection based on a channel selection program guide of an AV device. <P>SOLUTION: In an area 230, an operating section is operated by a user, moves from a central coordinate 232 that is an original position, to an upper side in Figure, passes through a line segment A-A', moves into a slow area 232, has a displacement amount of ≥2/3 of a slow determination displacement 234 indicating a distance between the line segment A-A' and a line segment B-B' within a fixed time and reaches the line segment B-B' within a fixed time T2 (T1<T2). Then, a display control section displays on an LCD a channel selection operation image created by a control display information creating section, and a channel selection instruction section transmits through a communication control section to a video recording device to be processed a channel selection instruction for selecting a station selected by the channel selection operation accepted by an input accepting section.
