<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a defect-free and high-quality embossed sheet with a regularly/finely embossed pattern formed on the surface, at a rapid line speed and with high productivity. <P>SOLUTION: In this method for manufacturing the embossed sheet, a flexible strip sheet W with a radiation-curable resin solution layer formed of the applied radiation-curable resin solution 4 on the surface, is continuously made to travel, then is wrapped around an embossing roller 13 which rotates the sheet W. Further, the embossed pattern formed on the surface of the embossing roller 13 is transferred to the resin solution layer, then the resin solution layer is irradiated with the radiation in the state that the sheet W is wrapped around the embossing roller 13, and the sheet W is released from the embossing roller 13. In addition, an embossed pattern 13A with a projection having a roller diameter of the top indicated as D1 and a recess having a roller diameter of the bottom indicated as D2 which is smaller in diameter than D1, alternately formed in the width direction of the roller 13, is provided on the embossing roller 13. Also, a flat part 13B with the roller diameter indicated as D3, arranged on both sides of the embossed pattern, is provided on the embossing roller 13.
