AUXILIARY LIGHT IRRADIATION DEVICE FOR PHOTOGRAPHING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an auxiliary light irradiation device for photographing apparatus, wherein high quality image information depending on photographing conditions can be obtained without an increase in cost and size.

SOLUTION: The liquid crystal panel 60 is disposed on the optical path of an auxiliary light emitted by the single light source of a strobe section 44 toward a subject. The liquid crystal panel 60 is configured such that an amount of transmission light can be altered according to each pixel of predetermined resolving power. Photographing conditions are obtained by a CPU 40. The liquid crystal panel 60 is controlled via a liquid crystal control section 62 so that a transmitting state is switched according to the the photographing conditions.
