PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electro-optical apparatus in which the level differences, in response to the positions of an outer circuit connection terminal produced on a substrate are reduced. SOLUTION: The outer circuit connecting terminal 102e, which is a part of a relay line 91e formed on the same layer with relay lines 91d, 91f, is connected to the relay line 91e connected electrically to a ground voltage line 93a. Thus, positions along height direction of the outer circuit connection terminals 102d, 102e and 102f to which an image signal, a second electric source signal VSSX and a counter electrode voltage LCCOM are respectively supplied can be unified. Accordingly, the turbulence of a rubbing roller due to the differences of etching depths of the plurality of outer circuit connection terminals 102, that is, hair turbulence of cloth material of the rubbing roller which may occur upon rubbing almost can be removed to permit virtually homogeneous rubbing.
