PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire capable of enhancing the cracking resistance while maintaining the uneven wear resistance. SOLUTION: A circumferential small groove 31 extending in the tire circumferential direction is formed in a non-ground contact area 30 located inward of the tire radial direction of a shoulder part 12, and a lug groove 22 formed in a tread surface 11 is connected to the circumferential small groove 31. A projecting part 45 projecting in the direction of the lug groove 22 is provided on a non-ground contact rib 40 to be demarcated outward of the tire width direction of the circumferential small groove 31 by the circumferential small groove 31 at the position substantially same as that in the tire circumferential direction of a portion at which the lug groove 22 is connected to the circumferential small groove 31. When the projecting part 45 enters the lug groove 22, a block part 13 and the non-ground contact rib 40 are integrally and easily deformed. Thus, the stress concentration at an intersection 48 of the lug groove 22 and the circumferential small groove 31 can be suppressed, and generation of cracks in this portion can be suppressed.
