PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a DC/DC converter with little consumption current which starts operation from a low voltage, and and also to provide electronic equipment using the DC/DC converter. SOLUTION: When the voltage of a battery 10 is low and has no boosted output, a current control type switching element is used, and when the battery has the boosted output, a voltage control type switching element is used to boost the DC/DC converter from a low voltage. After the DC/DC converter is boosted, the current control type switching element with high power consumption is stopped to reduce the power consumption of the DC/DC converter.
