PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and method for providing a message service.

SOLUTION: The message service providing apparatus includes a reception part which receives a first message packet including a message input by a first user and a list of recipients who will receive the message, an input part through which a second user inputs a message, a packet generation part which generates a second message packet by adding the message input by the second user to the message input by the first user, and a transmission part which transmits the second message packet to a recipient selected from the list of recipients.
