PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase output torque, while suppressing torque ripples in an IPM motor. SOLUTION: The IPM motor is provided with a stator (12), having n<SB>1</SB>slots (16<SB>1</SB>-16<SB>12</SB>) and a rotor (11) having side faces (11a) that face the stator (12). The rotor (11) includes n<SB>2</SB>magnets (14) and a magnetic line induction body (13a), located between the magnet (14) and the side face (11a).
