PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To drive a conveying drive roller at a stable vibration mode. SOLUTION: The liquid jet device for jetting a liquid to a recording object 19 while conveying the object 19 is provided with the conveying drive roller 41 rotated by giving rotation drive force; a conveying driven roller 43 rotated together while clamping the object 19 between the conveying drive roller 41 and the driven roller; and a drive part 100 for giving rotation drive force to the conveying drive roller 41. The drive part 100 includes at least either of a plate-like piezoelectric element 220 and a pair of electrodes for clamping the piezoelectric element 220 in a surface direction. A recording device is provided, which has a vibration body 200 abutted and separated relative to an outer peripheral surface of the conveying drive roller 41 in a surface direction of the piezoelectric element 220 by giving a periodical voltage between the pair of electrodes; and a vibration body retaining part 400 for supporting the vibration body 200 while maintaining the surface direction of the piezoelectric element 220 parallel to a plane perpendicular to a rotation shaft of the conveying drive roller 41.
