摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for predicting the temperature dependency of the friction coefficient of a tire, which method can shorten tire development time by improving the accuracy for predicting the temperature dependency of the maximum value of the friction coefficientμwhich has a large effect on the baking performance of the ABS of the vehicle. SOLUTION: In predicting the temperature dependency of the friction coefficient of the tire, an expressionμ(S) representing aμ-S curve showing the relationship between a slip factor S and the friction coefficientμof the tire, which friction coefficient is composed of the sum of an adhesion friction coefficient and a sliding friction coefficient, is used. The expressionμ(S) at the respective temperatures is obtained using the data, which include the sliding friction coefficient composed of a component due to adhesion and a component due to hysteresis, and are measured at the temperatures at at least two points below 0°C and above 20°C.
