Modular construction system for children comprising panels, each provided with flexible fixation elements, said panels and fixation elements being designed to be simply and repeatedly assembled and disassembled. Part of the panels has the shape of an equilateral triangle, quadrangle or pentagon. The fixation elements are situated in the center of the panel ribs and are formed, on the one hand, by a flexible strip (3) extending toward the outside of the panel in question, and on the other hand by a hole (4) extending toward the inside of the panel in question, the strip and hole being provided with connecting means that can engage each other, such as a Velcro system. The one and the other are of such design and dimensions that for connecting panels to each other the strip of one panel can be guided into the hole of another panel, after which their connecting means can be made to engage each other.
