STRUCTURE AND METHOD FOR JOINNING HEAD OF PISTON FOR AUTOMOBILE COMPRESSOR

A structure and a method for engaging a head of a piston for a compressor for a vehicle is provided to improve the durability of the piston by firmly engaging a body section and the head. In a structure for engaging a head of a piston for a compressor for a vehicle, a stopper is formed on the outer peripheral surface of an end of a body section(10). A recess(15) for injecting a brazing solution is formed between the stopper and a boss(13). A protrusion and an accommodation recess for accommodating the boss of the body section are formed in the head respectively. After the head is press-fitted into the body section, the head is brazed. The protrusion is engaged with the body section by attaching and bonding the protrusion to the recess. It is preferable that the pressing process of the body section and the head is performed at a temperature condition of 120°C such as a temperature to operate the compressor.
