<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laminated piezoelectric element having good durability and reliability and also to provide a method for manufacturing the same element. <P>SOLUTION: The laminated piezoelectric element 1 includes a ceramic laminated body 10 formed by alternately laminating a piezoelectric layer 11 and an internal electrode layer 12, and a pair of external electrodes 41 provided to the side surfaces 101, 102 of the ceramic laminated body 10. The laminated ceramic body 10 includes a driving part 2 where the piezoelectric layer 11 is extended when a voltage is applied, and a non-driving part 3 that is laminated to both end surfaces 208, 209 of the driving part 2 and is not extended positively when the voltage is applied. The driving part 2 includes a normal layer 21 having a plurality of normal piezoelectric layers 11, and an alleviating layer 22 laminated to both end surfaces 218, 219 of the normal layer 21 and having a plurality of non-normal piezoelectric layers 112 in the thickness thicker than the normal piezoelectric layer 111.
