<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method capable of surely detecting a defect in an image printed on a transfer medium by inspecting the defect in the image by a unit of a pixel and reducing the cost without wasting a medium to be transferred, and to provide an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The two same images based on image information to be printed are printed to be adjacent on an intermediate transfer medium, and then the two images printed on the intermediate transfer medium are read and compared with each other to be inspected, thereby checking whether or not each of the images has a defect. When it is judged that there is not a defect by the inspection, the image not having the defect is transferred to a booklet from the intermediate transfer medium. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
