<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an impact absorbing member capable of mitigating an impact on a pedestrian's knee while maintaining the energy absorption characteristic, and a vehicular bumper structure using the same. <P>SOLUTION: The impact absorbing member 5 used for the vehicular bumper structure 1 comprises a base part 51 fixed to a fixed member of a vehicle and extending in the vehicle width direction, an upper extension part 54 having a first extension part 52 extending forwardly from an upper part of a front side of the base part 51 and a second extension part 53 extending from a fore end of the first extension part 52 in a bending manner to the first extension part 52, and a lower extension part 55 extending forwardly from a lower portion of the base part 51 in a separated state from the upper extension part 54. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
