摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of laser beam machining, which method can neatly form sewing perforations on a workpiece by irradiating the workpiece with a laser beam and cutting-off a part thereof. <P>SOLUTION: A laser beam machining apparatus M is mainly composed of a laser source 10, a galvano scanner 20, and a controller 30. The laser source 10 is configured such that its output is controlled based on a control signal Sr to be output from the controller 30. In other words, besides the control of the ON state for carrying out the output by the command from the controller 30 or the OFF state for stopping the output, the level itself of the output can be controlled. In the first process, cut-off holes C1 forming the sewing perforations L are formed on a resinoid sheet W by radiating the laser beam in a high energy state. In the second process, the cut-off holes C1 are irradiated by a laser beam in a low energy state. By this method, irregularly deformed portions and cracks on cut-off surfaces K are melted by heat.
