PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biaxially-oriented polyethylene terephthalate resin film which maintains practical characteristics without losing the excellent characteristics of a biaxially-oriented polyester resin film, which is equipped with proper twistability and foldability and which is useful as a twist-packaging film excellent in practicality, economical efficiency and productivity, and a package in which an article to be packaged is twist-packaged or fold-packaged. SOLUTION: In this biaxially-oriented polyethylene terephthalate resin film which is composed of a resin substantially and mainly composed of polyethylene terephthalate, a film density is in the range of 1.350-1.364 g/cm<SP>3</SP>; a longitudinal elongation at break is in the range of 80-150%; a longitudinal stress at break is in the range of 200-300 MPa; and a twist maintaining angle is 240°or more.
