PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To acquire a three-phase linear motor for linearly moving a movable element having three phases of movable element pieces disposed in series relative to a stator having embedded permanent magnets. SOLUTION: The three-phase linear motor is provided with a slidably movable element (7) having three phases of movable element pieces (10, 11, 12) disposed in series at a pitch as a phase difference of 2π/3, to the stator (1) comprising a pair of stator pieces (2, 3) having the embedded permanent magnets (4), and thus implements a three-phase drive.
