PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molten-salt electrolysis apparatus for efficiently and directly producing a metal ingot from a metallic oxide of a raw material, and to provide a method for producing the metal ingot with the use of the apparatus. SOLUTION: The molten-salt electrolysis apparatus is directed at electrolyzing a molten salt bath in which the metallic oxide has been melted to produce the metal; and has a molten-salt electrolysis tank 10 comprising an anode chamber 11 and a cathode chamber 12 which are separated from each other, and a molten salt bridge 13 arranged in between the anode chamber 11 and the cathode chamber 12.
