The invention relates to a press comprising a ram unit (2, 20), in addition to at least two drive devices, which together act on the ram unit (2, 20) to produce a displacement of said unit (2, 20). Each of the drive devices is equipped with an individual actuator (g4; g9). The unit is equipped with a controller, which controls the actuators (g4; g9) of the drive devices individually and independently of one another. The drive devices are coupled using the controller and not by means of other coupling elements. The ram unit (2, 20) can be displaced in relation to the press frame with at least two and in particular three degrees of freedom, i.e. a vertical displacement towards the vertical axis (z-axis), a tilting displacement about a first horizontal axis (y-axis) and a tilting displacement about a second horizontal axis (y-axis). |
