The inventive self-contained electro-generating device is used for converting an air flow power produced in a vertical pipe into electricity. The power unit of the device is embodied in the form of a housing (1) provided with an electric generator stator, which is arranged therein and in which a propeller-type turbine (2) encompassed by the rotor (3) of the generator, having the stator (4), is mounted on a vertical shaft. The turbine (2) shaft is mounted on a top and lower magnetic supports embodied on a base (5) with a conic cavity and a cone (6), which are oriented to each other by the analogous poles thereof. A system for forming an air flow consists of two parts :a lower part, on which a power unit is arranged, and a top part connected to said power unit. The lower part is embodied in the form of a cylindrical barrel and the top part is embodied in the form of a pipe made of a rigid or soft airproof material. Said device has a simple structural design and an extended range of use.
