PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving operation auxiliary device for vehicle, which gives no discomfort to a driver when a preceding vehicle is not detected. SOLUTION: This device comprises obstacle detection means 10 and 20 for detecting an obstacle around one's own vehicle; a risk potential calculation means 50 for calculating, based on a signal from the detection means 10 and 20, a risk potential to the obstacle of the own vehicle; an operation reaction determination means 50 for determining, based on a signal from the calculation means 50, an operation reaction to be generated by vehicle operation equipment according to a preset change pattern; and an operation reaction generation means 50 making the vehicle operation equipment generate the operation reaction based on a signal from the determination means 50. This device further comprises an operation reaction correction means 50 for correcting the change pattern when the obstacle detected by the detection means 10 and 20 is not detected.
