PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool holder which has high responsiveness when supplying generated waterdrops with oil film to a workpiece, and supplies sufficient amount of waterdrops with oil film to the workpiece. SOLUTION: This tool holder 1 atomizes oil by an air stream of carrier gas formed by compressed air when the oil supplied through an oil supply passage 24 and an oil introducing passage 42 reaches an atomizing space 41, and generates waterdrops with oil film formed by turning the water supplied through a water supply passage 25 and a water introducing passage 43 by an air stream of compressed air containing the atomized oil into drops of water in the atomizing space 41 to form an oil film on a surface of waterdrop. Since the waterdrop with oil film is supplied to the workpiece through a top nozzle 50 and a passage 7 in a tool, and a position for generating the waterdrop with oil film is formed at a position very close to the tool 6, the responsiveness when supplying the waterdrops with oil film to the workpiece is improved.
